Coach Education
There are barriers for people living in rural communities to qualify as sports coaches mainly due to the cost and location of courses. However it is increasingly important that people delivering sport are qualified and can access the appropriate insurance through these qualifications.
The team wants to help address these barriers and will support funding applications towards the cost of the course and work closely with the NGBs to, where possible, bring courses to our area. It is therefore helpful to know of people who are interested in qualifying in each sport so the team can help co-ordinate courses.
Tynedale Sports Council offer funding towards coach education. Application forms can be downloaded from this site.
